Starting Young Horse Journey with Molly

Molly is 4 year old Clydesdale x and seeking Just Equus to help her get started under the saddle. Some of the areas we worked on while she has been with us for 6 weeks:

– Light join up in arena at liberty.
– In hand lunge around both directions with lightness body position, backing under suggestion.
– Using long rope to flex, give to pressure yield hind end.
– Obstacles little jumps, tyre navigation, titter bridge, tarp, float loading.
– Hobbling, desensitisation with whip, lariat, feed bags.
– Saddling, both sides. Attaching feed bags to saddle so Molli carries them willingly.
– Using mounting block to mount from both sides.
– Putting bit in Molli during feed time to accustom her to bitting, and eating with bit.
– Rugged her for a few weeks.
– Ponyed her in the arena for 2 days, as aggressive to lead horse. Then for another 4 days Ponyed her out in the bush both sides.

Molly successfully completed the 6 weeks program and is ready for a break before continuing her education.
